Welcome to The Candle Pour! We are Tampa’s first pour-your-own custom candle experience and family-owned and operated.

We offer over 100 unique, premium fragrance oils to create a fully custom soy blend wax candle. Or you can choose to make custom-scented reed diffusers, room sprays and wax melts.

Our fragrances range from earthy and masculine to floral and fruity. We also provide some other unique options including foods and beverages like Champagne and Baked Bread. Ditch that boring “Off-the-shelf” candle and create your own custom candle.

Our experience is unique and every candle that leaves our candle shop is the only one of its kind. Some popular blends that our customers create are calming, spa-like scents like Eucalyptus, Earl Grey Tea and Bamboo, while others go for the “foodie” scents like bacon and champagne (men go straight toward bacon, while women head right for the champagne).

We believe that making a candle can be an emotional experience, like creating a scent that is associated with a favorite memory – maybe a vacation or childhood home. Many times, we forget about how important our sense of smell can be, but it can bring back a memory or place in time that you had not been in 10 or 15 years.

At The Candle Pour, we create a social and interactive experience that brings people together. Misty and Dennis Akers are husband and wife and founded The Candle Pour in 2019. They wanted to create a business that would provide a wonderful guest experience with a unique product that people could use and enjoy every day.

Making a custom fragrance is a unique and enjoyable activity that is perfect for groups and individuals of all ages. We can host many types of events including corporate outings, team building, birthday gatherings (adults and kids), ladies’ and guys’ nights, date nights, networking events, and any other reason to get together to create something special.

The process in our candle shop only takes about 45 minutes for all products.  Once your candle is poured, it will need to set for 2 hours before it is ready to go home (most of our flameless options can be taken with you immediately). Our location in Hyde Park Village, provides several great options for shopping, restaurant, theatre & fitness to fill your time while you wait, or if you are local you can come back another day to pick up your candle.
